Little Sac Tackle began in 1995 with one goal "To craft an old-world class
lure." With determination and a goal I (Lanier Feemster) started Little Sac
Tackle. In 1995 or 96 my next door neighbor who was a skilled machinist and
I reached an agreement that involved swapping my old Dodge truck for a
propeller press and forming tools for the props and cups. The propellers
soon proved to be a success by landing large mouth bass from a local pond.
The bait was called the "Gasconade Minnow" which translates into boastful or
proud minnow. The counter-revolving props proved to be a killer with local
bass and were soon used on other baits as well, including the Niangua Minnow.
The Niangua Minnow is a slick three-hook underwater minnow. It is not the
fish catcher that the Gasconade is, but still catches fish (yes people do
fish with them). The paint that is currently used on Little Sac Lures will
hold up better than any other company on the market. This paint is as hard
as nails! After being hit with a hammer the wood will split off before the
paint will chip away. This paint is the kind of paint that a musky fisherman
would love. While we have made some remarkable improvements on our lures,
we feel there is still room for improvement. Our goal is to make a bait that
will fish as good as it looks (or even better) guaranteed. Our customer
base consisists of people from Japan, Singapore, Europe, Canada and all over
the U.S.A. Please visit our website for more information about Little Sac
Tackle at Classicbaits.com. Little Sac Tackle is and will remain a part
time venture so please be patient as we are often out of colors. We try to
offer a new selection about once every three or four months. So please
check back to our website for availability.
