I have carved lures for several years, generallyfor my own use. They were all unique in shape and paint patterns. Many of mylures are out there as I used to make them and give them away. As glass eyesupply dried up I have to buy beater lures to get good quality eyes andspinners.
I prefer making my gar which resembles no others and I make very good 3 hookand 5 hook under water minnows that resemble no one elses.I also restore lures back to very fine condition and put my A deep intotheir belly so noone can mistake it for an original. I have been told byseveral that my restorations are much prettier than the real ones as I put adifferent paint pattern on them.
One man just recently bought every new lure I had made, some 65 of them. Ido this as a hobby and generally work at it 4 or 5 hrs. a week.I do not wish to get full time in it as it is one of my hobbies, I enjoydoing them and never have a certain paint pattern in mind until I getstarted.
